American honeybee population down 60% in 2 years, reseachers baffled

During the last two years, 50 percent of hives and 60 percent of the honey bee population in the United States has died due to what scientists are calling "colony collapse disorder".
Despite the severity of this crisis, there is no known cause for colony collapse disorder.

Clinton Campaign violates Oregon's "Do Not Call" law

In 2007, the Oregon legislature passed Senate Bill 863, a law that makes it illegal for political campaigns to make automated phone calls to households that are on the national "Do Not Call List". The bill was signed into law by the Governor and took effect in January, 2008.
Obama leads McCain in Oregon

Rasmussen Reports has released a poll that shows Barack Obama leading John McCain by 6 percentage points, and McCain leading Hillary Clinton by 6 percent in Oregon.
Obama leads the three candidates in terms of favorability among Oregon voters with 60 percent. McCain has a 51 percent favorability rating, and Clinton brings up the rear with 46 percent.
Open Season on Wolves

After more than a decade of protection under federal law, the US Department of Fish and Wildlife has de-listed wolves as endangered species in most of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho.
With the removal of Federal protections, states will now manage their own wildlife recovery programs. In Wyoming, wolves will be classified as a predator species -- one that people may kill at any time for any reason throughout most of the state.
